Position Title: Organist, part-time
Works directly under the Director of Music, plays the organ for all church worship services and works directly with the Director of Music to promote the Music Ministry and its programs.
It is the organist’s responsibility to play the organ for two regularly scheduled Sunday worship services. This includes: prelude and postlude, an offertory as needed, all service music (hymns, Gloria Patri, Doxology), and occasionally accompany the choir when the accompaniment calls for organ or requested by the Director of Music.
The organist is allowed freedom when choosing prelude, postlude and/or offertory music, though it is anticipated that the music selection will be appropriate to the service. The organist will be notified at least one week in advance if possible when an offertory is required.

The organist is expected to follow the suggested fee schedule established by Trinity UMC for these events
Education and Experience:
A degree in Music or a minimum of five yearsof experience in playing for church worship services.
- Must be knowledgeable in appropriate church music repertoire.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with people.
- Needs to have a positive attitude
- Needs to be able to take instructions
- Represents Trinity UMC in a professional manner when
dealing with all entities inside and outside of the church.
