January 16, 2012 - Richard & Pauline Perkins (Retired Local Pastor)

This past Wednesday, 1/11/12, I was diagnosed with a bacterial lung infection, COPD, and found out that my left carotid artery is at 50%. I am taking 2 antibiotics to clear up the infection. No artery surgery, etc., until at least 70% or worse. The COPD is being treated with Advair, an Albuterol inhaler and nebulizer (1 to 4 treatments a day), also I am on an oxygen machine at night. This has stopped my snoring, I do not stop breathing anymore or wheeze. I now get a good night's sleep.

Pauline got a good report from her cardiologist - does not go back for 6 months. She still fights diabetes daily. She had a sleep study done a while back and found out she was not getting enough oxygen in her lungs while sleeping, consequently she is on an oxygen machine at night.  We ask for your prayers. We know that OUR GOD is able to OVERCOME these bumps in the road of life and have placed our TRUST in HIM!
