MEF Monies available for Seminary Students. If you are a certified candidate attending seminary you are eligible for Ministerial Education Funds (MEF) from our conference. At www.awfumc.org/bom you can download the Ministerial Education Fund application. Students can also find known scholarship opportunities and conference policies concerning MEF in the Policies and Procedures Manual at the same website. Please note: If you received MEF monies last semester, it is your responsibility to see that your seminary registrar sends a verification of the number of hours being taken in the term in which you are currently enrolled to the Director of Ministerial Services for the Alabama West Florida Conference, june@awfumc.org or 888.873.3127.
- Ministerial Course of Study. The Web page for Alabama Course of Study is http://www.northalabamaumc.org/pages/detail/1212. There, look in the left column for the current brochure with schedule.
- Student Scholarships and Loans. Students who need financial help for college costs can apply online for United Methodist scholarships or loans. Students can also repay their loans online. Visit www.gbhem.org and click on the Loans and Scholarships button. See also the AWF Conference Board of Ordained Ministry downloads page.
- Young People - Grants for Ministries with Young People. (GBOD) - Grants are available to fund dynamic, creative ministries with young people that can serve as model programs for other organizations throughout the connection. Visit http://www.gbod.org/youngpeople/grants/grants.htm.
