"To Be Told" Conference
at Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church
There has never been, nor will there ever be, another life ... another story ... like yours. It is God authored for a divine purpose. Come learn more and be inspired at the To Be Told Conference October 20 & 21 at Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church, 75 Fairpoint Drive, Gulf Breeze, Florida.  Dr. Dan Allender, who wrote the book (among many others) titled To Be Told, will share about the importance of knowing, writing and telling our story. Registration is required. The cost is $25 to register and suggested donation of $5 for the lunch that will be provided.  For details and to register visit They will also take folks at the door on a first-come-first-served basis.

Daylight Saving Time Ends
District Conference 4 p.m. at Navarre United Methodist Church
Fused Youth Conference 4 p.m. at Community Life United Methodist Church
Pensacola District churches are asked to suspend regular activities on the afternoon and evening of the first Sunday in November so that everyone can attend the annual Pensacola District Conference and the District Youth Fused Conference.
This is an energizing and educational event for young clergy ages 39 and under that strengthens personal, financial, and leadership skills in order to sustain a lifetime in ministry. This year’s event is in Pensacola Beach, Florida, from November 13-15, 2017. This year, nearly all of your expenses to attend may be covered! 2017-2020 Spiritual Direction Training
The three-year Spiritual Direction Training, hosted by Sacred Space Spiritual Formation, is suited to those who hunger to experience deeper intimacy with God, to grow in attentiveness to God’s movement, are drawn to compassionate listening, feel a call to companion others on the spiritual journey, and seek spiritual community with others.  More here.

District Clergy & Spouses Christmas Dinner
6 p.m. at Pensacola First United Methodist Church. This is a gift from District Superintendent Tim Trent and his wife, Linda, so there is no cost to attend, but reservations are requested because this is a catered event. This event is for Pensacola District ministers and spouses. Adults only, please. Childcare is not provided. Reservations will be accepted November 1st through noon November 28, 2017.  Let the district office know if you will (or will not) be able to attend by placing your reservations at

SEJ Cabinet Consultation
at Epworth By The Sea on Saint Simons Island, Georgia. The theme for this year's event is "The Church as a Missional Incubator:  How to Turn Hare-Brained Ideas into Sustainable Ministries without Losing Your Soul (or Your Shirt)."
