Run for the World 5K Run/Walk 8 a.m. at Gulf Breeze
Flyer here. The beautiful 3.1 mile race course is set along the paved streets of Gulf Breeze and starts in front of the Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church at 75 Fairpoint Drive. The course heads west on Fairpoint to a right turn onto Highpoint Drive (where you learn there are a few hills in Gulf Breeze - smile!) ; continues along Highpoint until it intersects Fairpoint Drive again and turns right to continue west on Fairpoint Drive to a turn-around point; returns back to the church staying on Fairpoint Drive to Nightingale Lane; turns right onto Nightingdale Lane and then a quick left turn behind the church to the finish line.

Meeting of the District Committee on Ministry
Committee members will meet 9:30 a.m. the library of Gadsden Street United Methodist Church. Interviews will begin at 10 a.m. The waiting room for interviewees will be the Pensacola District Office. The Committee will see all Local Pastors (both part-time and full-time) for reapproval as Local Pastors available for appointment; see all previously certified candidates for reapproval as certified candidates; and see all certified Lay Ministers for reapproval. Chairperson of the Committee is Rev. Bob Bailey, Pastor, Warrington United Methodist Church, Pensacola.

Presented by by Baptist Hospital Department of Pastoral Services and Center for Clergy Care & Education of Pensacola, Florida. This workshop has been approved for Methodist Pastors in the Alabama-West Florida Conference to receive .5 CEUs.

Prayer Conference at Navarre
$20/person. Register here. Rev. Terry Teykl will be at Navarre United Methodist Church for “Prayer Encounter: Invite Christ to Calm Your Storms” on Saturday, March 3. Registration and breakfast are at 8:30 a.m., the Conference 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. This event has been approved for .5 CEU credit for those who attend and also read any one of Terry’s books. In a time of economic uncertainty there are a lot of fears about the present, not to mention the future. With this in mind, we have asked Rev. Terry Teykl of Renewal Ministries to come lead us, teach and encourage us to be a people of prayer. Terry is an United Methodist pastor of the Texas Conference and author of many books including Pray the Price, Acts 29, Preyed On or Prayed For, Outside the Camp and Making Room to Pray, to name a few. Rev. Alan Gantzhorn will be leading an UMVIM Team Leader Training at the Milton First United Methodist Church. Registration is $35, which includes lunch and the training manual. Ultimate Training Event (UTE) - Training in Youth Ministry at at Christ United Methodist Church in Mobile, AL. UTE is a one-day conference sponsored by the Alabama-West Florida Conference focused on providing training in youth ministry. Seminars throughout the day will focus on all aspects of youth ministry. Churches are encouraged to send youth staff and volunteers to this invaluable day of training. Cost: $20 per person. Groups of four or more get one free.
